I was told I won a grant for 42,000.00 dollars for home improvements, and I didn't even have to own a home. I was sent a check for 4,960.00 Dollars, and told

I was told I won a grant for $42,000.00 for home improvements and I didn't even hahe to own a home. I was sent a check for $4,960.00, and told to deposit it and wire them $2,997.00 for Taxes and fee. I would then recieve the $37,040.00 Balance via Courier. I should have two pieces of ID ready.
I was also given a mumber to verify that it was a valid Check. I called the number and was told I had reached JP Morgan, Chase bank, upon which the check was written.
The check registered a valid check.
How ever when I took the check to my bank I was told it was a fraudulent check. The Check was verified as a good check and a valid account but This company was not authorized to write it.
