I recieved an online email for a prepaid credit card. I had the card for months before I decided to use it. I needed to use it one day to start a gym membership, so I decided to load money onto the card. I used the card for that purpose only for 3-4 months. I never once had any additional fees other than a $6.95 per month monthy fee, which I expected. Today, I put my usual onto the card, $24.00, which covers my $17 membership fee and the $6.95 monthly fee. I called my card just to make sure the gym had taken their money off and it said that a $25.00 late fee was accessed to my acct. I'm like, " Late fee?" For what? I had never recieved any kind of notice stating that I owed anyone anything. Not an email, nothing for the whole 5 months of using this card. I would recieve emails from the company letting me know that my balance was low and that was it. But not one time did I recieve a monthly statement or an email notifying me of this minimum payment that is due on top of the $6.95 monthly fee. So I called customer service in order to get answers, their were no answers. She simply told me that I've put $187 onto the card and now I owe them $187. WHAT? So your telling me that on top of the monthly fee, I need to pay yall every penny that I've put onto this card to yall? So I'm paying double, right? I put $187 on the card, but still I have to pay $187, yeah right. I asked her where my monthly statement was and she said that I didn't request on when I initially signed up for the card. Whatever! Their company is a scam, period. I told them to cancel the acct and that was that.
