I researched several tax resolution services (they're all preditors by the way) and effecture sounded like a solution to my business tax prooblem. They even suggested i check the BBB and rip off report.
They gave me a price of 7600.00 to work my case. The origional sales person Corey Cooley even went so far as to tell me they want to under promise and over deliver. After several phone conversations and prodin i was told but not promised or assured that i would save in penelties & interest around 30% of the outstanding amount.
After signing up a letter told me what to expect.in 72 hrs an account exec (Brian Howell) would be contacting me.instead i got a nice enough lady but i don't believe she had been with Effecture very long.
Effecture filed returns for me (something i should have done myself). Then contacted an irs agent on my behalf.By their time line you would think they were working my case.
I still had to interview with an agent. Don't think you won't have to do this! The agent was a nice enough guy and pretty much told me that my accountant could have done what effecture did for a fraction of the cost.
Effecture will represent you for 60 days. I was told i "WOULD HAVE A RESOLUTION WITHIN THAT TIME" In my case it was even up to 90 days. Beyond that guess what, more cost.
I have no resolution as of this date. I continue to get certified mail from the IRS. I have 3 large tax leins filed since signing on with effecture. And now without spending more they're gone and so is my 7600.00.
BE AWARE all tax resolution specialists are praying on you. I know the last thing you want to do is think you have to go against the IRS alone but don't be fooled into spending your hard earned (if not borrowed) money on Effecture or anyone else similar.
