I went on line, after seeing an advertisement for free government grants on CNN. I was interested in getting assistance for my grandson with Autism. I saw the Grant Master and opted to order the "free" information but authorized one time debit to my checking account for shipping 2.95. This was in March.
The cd was promptly mailed, but I have yet to open until today, after reviewing my bank statement. I noticed several debits with names and numbers I was unfamiliar with, but finally reached someone at the 800 number regarding these charges.
Some lady on the phone, who could barely speak English, advised that I should have cancelled my "membership" within 7 days. 7 days from what? I didn't realize there was a membership??? Nothing on website mentioned that. I still have not loaded the cd, perhaps the instructions are there?
There were four subsequent charges, 7.00 twice and 39.95 twice. I asked for what, and the lady couldn't answer me. She was rude and not the least bit helpful. I immediately cancelled my "membership"! I haven't received any benefit yet from any of this, so why these charges???
Now I'm hoping that somehow I can get back the nearly 100.00 that they have stolen from me!
