I received a letter in the mail by the "supposive" manager of ICS Financial Services in Oklahoma City, OK. It said that I was pre-approved for a loan of $5,000.
They asked that I fill out the form and send it back to their office with a $75.00 fee attached. I sent it back to them and after numerous phone calls finally he called to let me know he had sent a loan agreement from Universal Financial Services in Highland Heights KY.
There was a three page loan agreement that I signed along with a $55.00 fee for their services, and upon receipt they would call me within 7-10 business days. After this time was up, I tried to place a call to Universal Financial.
The phone goes to a personal message that says "we are not available at this time so leave your name and number". It did not sound like a legitimate business phone.
I have left over ten messages with this company with no response whatsoever. I then placed numerous calls to ICS Financial Services to advise them of the status of this loan. Again, no return phone call.
When you call this number, it goes directly to the managers phone line and is always an answering service, he does not pick up the phone. I have investigated online to find both companies on the consumer complaints. I had federal expressed both loan agreements hoping to expedite the process of the loan.
I have left urgent messages to the manager of ICS because he had told me the loan was approved at $5,000 for a five year term with an interest rate of 12% with a payment of roughly $115.00 per month. Because I was anticipating the funds of this loan, I paid off some other debts thinking I would have the money momentarily.
I now cannot afford to buy the medication this month that I have to be on for several severe medical situations, one being Crohns disease and I also suffer from bi-polar depression.
Not only can I not afford to be on my medication, but I cannot provide food for my two children. DO NOT respond if you receive a letter in the mail from either of these companies.
They are NOT legitimate businesses and collect fees from you upfront for your loan application and then you never hear from them again nor can you get in touch with a legitimate business line. This is a scam. BEWARE before you decide to do any business with them, because this is not a professional lending practice or place of business, this is a scam to get your money.
