Ig scam that sounds great at the time until they steal your money!!! Consumer fraud ripoff New York or Florida I'm not sure Florida, maybe New York
Attention everyone!
A couple of hours ago, I was contacted my a woman who asked for me by name. This nasty woman said she was from North Trust Credit Services and she was calling to once again offer me a credit card that I previously applied for. I was not sure if I had applied for a credit card because of all the refinancing apps I have been filling out recently.
Just like most of you said, the b*tch connected me to a verifier or whatever to give me all the details of the mastercard (not visa, he said). The first thing the nasty man wanted from me was my checking account number and routing number included at the bottom of your commom blank check. I said are you f*cking crazy. I continued to state, "you can just withdraw money from my checking account if I give you these (2) numbers. The guy quickly said that he can send my the information in the mail because he already had my address. I said "OK" and before I could finish my sentence, the assh*le hung up on me.
And get this! About (3) minutes later, my phone rings again and this guy says that he is Charles Harris for North Trust Credit Services and he was concerned about my satisfaction with the previous phone call from NACS. He said he was the supervisor and had been working for this wonderful scam company for 12 years. I asked for much more info and the offer started to seem true and honest. But, It stilled seemed iffy! After being offered a fixed 6.9% mastercard and a $2500 merchant card also at 6.9% fixed rate, I eventually fell for it and like a real stupid person, I gave up my routing number and checking account number.
These people have a pretty convincing scam going on! They will read the offer very fast with poor English. I dont think the phone reps ever completed High School. They will ask you to "agree" to the final offer in a "recorded phone conversaton for safety reasons". DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING! Do not ever give your checking account info over the phone, unless you a positive of the people you are talking too! I should have known better!
They also tell you, you WILL see a charge on your bank statement from "PMC Credit" or "NACS".
Im not a total rockhead, though. As soon as I had completed my 20min phone call with this so called supervisor "Charles Harris" from the so called "New York Office" at this so called NACS - I began searching for more info on the Internet.
And this is the web site I found! I couldnt believe it. I jumped in car and drove straight to the closest ATM machine and removed all the money in my checking account. I made it to my cash before they did! I also called the radio station to request that they broadcast a warming about North Trust Credit Service on the air and they did!
And coming Monday I will go straight to the bank and report these bast*rds. I will close my current checking and open a new one ASAP!
