When reviewing my credit report through Equifax, I discovered a charge on a credit card that I no longer use. I keep the credit card open to keep my credit score up.
I contacted the credit card company and discovered that the charge was from a company called Privacy Guard. The identification of the company began with TLG. I have not yet confirmed what the acronym means.
The charges began in December and I didn't discover them until April. There was never any reason to check the balance since I had not made any purchases on the credit card. As a result, the credit card has accumulated late charges.
This is outright fraud! As a result, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau before contacting the company. The company leaders need to be arrested for this!
I have not been able to contact the company, as of yet, because they open at 9am. However, I will do so as soon as the clock strikes 9! The toll-free number was provided on my credit card statement.
If anyone knows of a way to arrest these people, please let me know. This is equivalent to someone stealing my credit card and making an purchase with it. Which brings me to the point that I will also be canceling my account with the credit card company, Chase bank in affiliation with Amazon.com. If they won't block or change a credit card number when my credit card number has been used fraudulently or stolen, then they do not have their clients' best interests in mind.
