GE Money Bank was used by a contracting company to fund repairs on my home (home inprovement). The payments were suppose to be $240.00, this I could do with a 3rd job.
Papers were given to me to sign "as explained to me" and being a person that trusted people at their word, I signed it. I was also given a paper to sign "only after the work was completed to my satisfaction", at which time the money would be released to the contractor. I also made "verbal" arrangements to start billing on April 15th so I could obtain a job.
The work is still not done correctly and I'm still in posession of the completion paper. To my amazement, I recieved a bill from GE Money in February, they released the money and now want payment "with an over the limit fee"!
It turns out that the payments are actually $400.00 a month and someone has set me up with a revolving credit card!
I tryed talking to GE, but they would not talk to me. They told me I need to talk to the company that recieved the money??? The company hasn't done their job right, yet I'm suppose to ask them to give the money back?
I'd also like to know who filled out the paper work for the 24,000.00 credit card and what they used for my salary? I Didn't fill out anything!
I have just listed my house for sale because of this. The market is so slow that GE will probably be the new owner! Can someone Please help!
