I live paycheck to paycheck and closely monitor my online banking. I noticed a payment I had made to the telephone company was pending TWICE! I copied the statement, took it to the bank (where I waited an hour and a half for the assistant manager) and she said that sometimes two payments are posted: when one is paid, the other drops off... She said she would send it to research.
A week later, I was told that the telephone company is the one who processed the two payments! I called the company and this was not true nor possible! I called the bank manager back and she told me "she was on her way out the door but would look into it"... Nothing happened. I called customer service twice to speak to a supervisor and left messages; nothing happened.
I called the BBB; NCB changed the facts to blame me! Because of the two payments, every bill/check I had paid bounced - utilities, checks to my children's school, grocery stores, etc... I lost $800 to fees and that isn't counting the fees charged by the above companies for the NSF checks! I lost almost two paychecks (my pays are direct deposited), couldn't buy groceries or afford gas for weeks - and spoke to a very rude customer service representative at NCB who had no desire to help me. What a horrible bank!
