In July I recieved a phone call from Capital first offering me a secured master card. They told me that I would be charge a one time processing fee of $29.95 to my checking account.
I explained to the person on the phone that I did not want a credit card that I had to add money to in order to use it he told me that its a credit card with a 2500 limit and I could use it anytime anywhere. He also told me that the service charges would be charged to my credit card after my 7 day free trial. I deliberatly asked him many times and he kept assuring me that no other charges would be made to my account.
So I waited a little over a month for the paperwork to come and I never recieved it. On August 8 I checked my checking account and found two withdrawls had been made one for 99.95 and the other for 59.95. I was very angry I then contacted the company and asked them why they took money out of my account when I didn't authorize them to do so. Eric then told me to fax him the proof of mailing that I sent them my bank statement proving they took the money and the money would be back in my account within 48 hours.
They gave me a bogus fax number and finally after 2 and a half weeks of trying to fax them they give another fax number although they had recieved the mailing on August 30. They then told me on the phone that the refund was being processed and it would be back in my account within 3-5 business days. As of this day 10/21 I have been in contact with them multiple times and they keep telling me that they have to email their corporate office and that I have to wait another 14 business days.
To this day I haven't gotten anywhere with them they won't give out any information on how to get in contact with the corporate office and Nick #288 told me today that our conversation was being recorded for quality purposes, I asked for a copy and he said he couldnt do that. They won't budge and all they do is keep on giving me the run around every time I talk to them.
