Ripoff consumer fraud false promises swindlers tricked and lied to us victimized many consumers

This company sells skin care devices to a network of dealers across the US and Canada. Minimum investment is $14,995.00.

The use of deceptive advertising lured me into this business opportunity.

My experience has been terrible. The initial timeframe for the company to place the five machines that I purchased ($19,995.00) in local salons was to be 45 days max.

It took six months before they finally sent someone. During this time, phone calls were never returned, I was constantly put off, lied to, and passed around to different indivuals within the compnay. When I finally talked to someone, they would just lie and tell me it would only be another week. The supposed dealers names given as references were paid to give positive information to perspective dealers.

When asked if there are any dealers in my area the answer was no, when in fact there were other dealers. There are serious questions regarding the machines true specifications.

There is testing currently being done by Diomedics (www.diomedics.com) to see if the light output on the device is actual. Diomedics is currently suing Youth Light 2010 for various reasons including patent infringment.

The details can be read on their web site. Youth Light 2010 is under investigation by the Florida Dep't of Agric.& Consumer Services for various reasons including fraud.

Their office told me on 10-15-02, that the State Licensing Boards in the state of Florida, Texas, and Ohio have banned the use of the Youth Light 2010 machine and are calling it a medical device which means that it must be used by a licensed MD.

They also said that the FDA is ready to officially classify it as a medical device which means it will be banned for use in all states. Leaving the dealers with worthless machines.

The two owners of Youth Light, William B. Chappie and Joseph A. Wentz, operated a business opp. Scam in the mid 1990's and were banned by the FTC for involving themselves in any way with any future business opp. (www.ftc.org).

I have solid proof that both of them are involved in Youth Light 2010. Florida state records show that Mr. Chappie dissolved the FL. Corporation on Dec. 31, and re-incorporated it with a new presidents name, William Donaldson, in the state of Nevada on January 4.

This person is believed to be Mr. Chappie himself, as he has used several aliases in the past according to the FTC. The Florida D.O.A.C. S has told me that they will most likely be brought up on criminal charges for violating this FTC order.
