Ever Christmas the Los Angeles Youth Network ask for "gift cards" to be donated for the youth and these will be given to the youth as Christmas gifts. Well, word has it that they recieved alot of gift cards this past Christmas and they had extra gift cards left over. Know you would think, why not go out on the street and give these gift cards away to these homeless youth that need everything. If you dont have enough youth in your shelter, then go out and help those still on the street. Well, the Executive Director actually took the extra gift cards that were supposed to go to the youth and were donated for the youth and went and bought a new MAC computer. How wrong is this? Please, be very careful when donating to LAYN. They do not do what they say. I hear they have less than 10 kids in their facilities right now but they tell people on the street while canvassing that they are taking care of thousands. Its a total scam!!! Over 70% of the money that comes in goes towards salaries!!! Not the youth! Just look at their financial statements. There is no accountability here.
