I recieved a call form Randy Gold from Fairway Lending Group stating that they that I have been approved for a loan (In my case $85000 at a 7% interest rate). Since my credit rate wasn't good, he stated that he had a private lender who was willing to give me the loan. However, i would need to send a security deposite showing good faith. The amount was $1050.00 and once that is paid, the $8500 would be in my account within 24 hours.
I explained that I didn't have the money and that's way I needed the loan, he stated that he would give me a few weeks to get the money and then guaranteed me that the money would be in my account.
Finally I called hime and stated that I could only get up $950. He said he would have to speak with the lender to see if that amount would be possible. He called me back and stated that's fine. What they would do is bill me the next month for the $100.00.
I recieved the application filled them out and sent them back via fax.
I was given instruction from "Mr. Randy Gold" to send the money (Person to Person) to Ontario Canada via Money Gram from (Walmart).
Once I did that he stated that I would recieve a call from a rep the next day with the routing # for the money transfer.instead I recieved a call from Randy Gold stating that I had to send more money because the lender's insurance company would not insure her because of my credit history. That's when I knew this was a scam. I was also told that If I wasn't able to do this I would recieve a full refund of my money including the cost to send the money. I was also faxed a letter of reciept stating this.
Prior to this doing any of this I looked this company up on the BBB and this company had no negitive reports under it's name.
Have called the, BBB (US) & BBB (Canada), FTC, Credit agencys, Canadian law inforcement dept, etc.
This is a horrible thing to do to working people who have made mistakes in the past. I have a child and I almost lost out apartment because of this. I know these people will not send me my refund but I hope that they are caught and prosecuted for this. I really would hope that everyone who they have wronged are paid back when they get caught.
Karma is for real. These people have done wrong to alot of people and it will come back to them.
Please if you are reading this do not work with anyone from this company.
