Fishy Mortgage Loan offer - Possible Advance Fee Scam

I got a phone call from a Ray Walker with Royal Advantage Group regarding my approved loan application for a mortgage. Funny thing is that I never submitted a loan application with this company. I repeatedly stated that to Ray Walker and he said that evidently I did because he had my loan application in from of him. I asked if he ran my credit he said that the loan processor would have prior to it coming to him. (Not-I have not filled out any loan applications with them and the ones that I did fill out I left my social blank.) Ray wanted to go over the loan stipulations with me for the this approved loan (Fishy). Since I was in a meeting when he initially called I asked him for his contact number and that I would call him back and told him that noone from his company was authorized to run my credit and he said he noted it on my file. When I got back to my office and called him back I asked him for his website which was www.royal-advantagegroup.com, when I looked at the website their was no contact numbers or names of individuals that worked for this company more (Fishy). When I called back the way they answered the phone reminded me of Rockcliffe Financial Group and Michael Larson who called be early January to offer me my approved loan which I never applied for. (This is another story).

Ray Walker answered his phone and when I identified myself he stated that my loan application was given to him by mistake and that if I was not interested in the loan I could disregard the call. (I played along alright) I stated that I was indeed interested but I wouldn't be getting a loan for about 6 to 7 months as I had not even found a home. I asked him what the stipulations were because I needed no money down and about $200K. He stated that his lenders would need first and last months mortgage sent to them as a stipulation of the loan (What the???) are you kidding me. This would be my second home purchase and lenders do not ask for first and last months mortgage (duh). So I played along and said great and then I asked him send me all of that in writing, he paused and stammered and said well you have my information since you won't be purchasing a home for a while, you just call me when your ready. (whatever buddy)

Okay then I called the following day just to mess with him some more, when Ray Walker picked up on the phone I stated to him that I wanted to discuss the loan that I would receive from them and wanted to run the loan documents by my lawyer because I was concerned about all the loan companies out there scamming all of these people. He told me he understood, but said since the loan was not processed he had no documents to give me, I then stated that I needed the estimate thing that mortgage company usually gives that detail all costs involved.

I pretended not know what this is called and he of course helped me out and said the "Good Will" Paperwork...??? Really??? (Good Faith Estimate), well of course I corrected him on the spot and then said please fax that to my lawyers office I want him to review all paperwork before I sign anything. I also asked him about the first and last months mortgage payment and how it would be paid? He said I would pay the lender and then the funds would be transferred into my account. I then stated no I didn't want the funds transferred into my account, I said I wanted a traditional closing where there was an attorney involved and no money exchanged hands until we had proof of funding. He said that would be absolutely fine and that my fax was on the way. It is now 4:40pm EST I called him at 1:00PM and no "Good Will" Paperwork on my fax machine. (Well my spidey sense is tingling that this was and is a SCAM. Be very careful out there folks...
