Discovered this afternoon that there was a charge on my bank statement that I did not recognize. The amount was for 4.95. Because I do not keep money in this account often and had not made a transaction in almost a month, it was obvious there was an error. My bank informed me there were previous reports of this company on the internet and immediately took care of the charge, my associated fees, and cancelled my account. The only info I was provided other than the company name was that the company is in California. And when the rep called the number, she only got a voice recording asking to leave a message. I am extremely angry even over such a low amount. I am puzzled at how my info was obtained since I rarely use this account.
