I am sending this report to warn anyone from applying or using Juniper Credit Cards. I just got this, used one of their "convenience" checks, they charged me $100.00 for that. Then my payment was due Jan. 6th, I sent the payment on the 30th of Dec. Lo and behold they posted it on Jan. 7th, charged me $39.00 late fee, and are going to raise my rate from 8.99 percent to 32%. The payment I sent in was 3 times what was due.
When I called up the customer service rep, she told me there was nothing they could do, when I asked for a supervisor, after being on hold for several minutes, there was not one available. Since this was the first time dealing with them, even having excellent credit, they would not help what so ever! Beware! I will be paying this off immediately and read the fine print a little better. Also, check with the BBB first before getting any type of credit card. Some of these credit card companies are notorious for holding payments until after the due day. Funny that it should take 8 days for the mail to get from Washington state to PA, I just sent two letters the same day to a friend in Florida and another friend in New York. They received them on the 3rd of Jan. Is Philadelphia using horses still to deliver mail, or is Juniper just trying to pull another "Rip Off" like so many other Credit card companies have in the past. If anyone else has had this problem, I would love to hear from you. This has been reported to the BBB in PA.
