Popular Mortgage Servicing
Increased my mortgage $ 695.36

In 2006 I lost my job due to a plant closure. The Co. I worked for had been purchased by an overseas company, and that entitled me to certain benefits under Pa Law allowing me to receive Cash benefits and training for a period of 104 weeks. I accepted the offer, but the decrease in my income is substancially less that if I were working.

Due to the decrease in income I had fallen behind On my property tax's and received a notice from my county explaining that if the Tax's are paid by July that I would not be in any position of loosing my home due to sheriff sale.

In july I had a conversation with Popular Mortgage and explained my situation and followed up with a fax of the document showing the details of my notice, I also explained to them that my Tax's would be paid in full by Feb and they agreed that If I could send the doucumentation that they would not send anymore notices about my tax's.

In November I received a statement from popular Mortgage that they paid my tax's and had begun to escrow my account for all future Tax's and my new monthly payment went from 936.92 to 1,632.28. My monthly gross income is only 1,848 and will remain that way until I graduate from college in the spring of 2009.

I had always been curent on my mortgage payment's until they told me that I am 30day's over due on my payment because my normal payment is mainly being applied to cover the past amount of tax's that were paid and the amount that is going into escrow. I have recived a statement telling me that my total amount due is now 3,451.96 and still I'm only able to send my normal payment of 936.92. I am accumulating late fees like crazy and in danger of loosing my home for my family of six.

This entire situation has been created by popular mortgage servicing, INC, if they would have just waited and stuck to the agreement I would not be in this position. I don't know who is wrong here, but I do know that they created this situation.
