Had a check bounce to WalMart on December 26, my fault, and it was paid on January 4th when it was resubmitted. Got the usual message when I tried to cash another check in early January, Code 8 and the phone # (800) 697-9255. The usual punching of numbers until I finally got to talk to a so-called human being. Told them the check had already cleared my account, but they said I had to wait 11 days before they would release the hold.
On January 18th they billed my account for $30.00, a processing fee they said, but what for, all they did was redeposit the check and it was paid. Neither WalMart nor TeleCheck will do anything about the charge, they say that Florida law allows them to charge this fee. Got to change the law!
