$30.00 late fee on $1.95 balance 3 days past the due date

Almost a year and a half ago I was contacted by an HSBC rep. Whom explained that they were sending me a pre approved Master Card with a $300.00 limit. And that if I did not like there terms that I simply through it away but if I decided to take there offer that I simply needed to call the number on the card and activate the account at which time I would be charged a $79.00 fee. That would be an annul fee and that I could immediately begin using the card. So I said ok send it and I will look it over. A few weeks went buy and it arrived. I took the card out and seeing that was indeed an actual credit card I put it in my wallet in behind some other cards and stuff for safekeeping. Sense I was busy with other things at the time I put the rest of the paper work away and in a few days forgot all about it. That is until about 5 Months latter when I got a bill saying that I was 2 Months behind on my bill and owed like $114.00. Although I got them to reverse, the charges when I explained what happened that I had never decided to activate the card that I had in fact forgotten that I even had the card. However, this was still on my credit report as over 30 Days late. I think it is off now but I am not sure. I just found out that these Bastards have a 2-Day grace period after the due date. Which I have been hit with a number of times I am pretty sure. However, I did not catch it until today. Last month my balance was $15.66 I could not remember the exact Change so I made a $15.00 min payment, which left 66 Cents balance, then they added some other charges on there of a $1.27 making my balance $1.93 however because the payment posted on the 23 three Days after the due date they assed a $30.00 late fee making my new balance for December $31.93. So I told them that they either reverse the late fee or I would pay in full and cut up the card and list them on usacomplaints.com.Com. They did not seam to care at least enough to resolve the issue. So hear is my report be ware if you do business with them you better be on your game get the payments in ahead of time. I will not do business with them again I dont like there business ethics screw your customers every chance you get when there is not looking.
