This loan company contacted me stating they found a private lender who will loan me the amount of $7000 but because of credit issues it was going to be a secured loan and I needed to first pay five months of payments upfront totaling the cost to be $875.00 plus $56.03 to wire transfer the money to them and I would receive my loan the next business day and after five months I would receive my $875.00 back to go towards the loan. This took place on Oct. 17.
On Oct. 23 I received a call from my loan consultant telling me that all the papers I signed and the fee that I paid was based on an existing customer and because I was new I had to pay additional fees. I decided not to pay the additional fees and would rather just have a refund. My paperwork was forwarded to the customer service manager and she would be handling the refund.
On Oct. 24 the customer service manager contacted me and told me that because my loan was sitting in their account and they were paying the private lender interest they were going to charge me roughly $300.00 to refund my money or I could pay the $400.00 and have the loan proceed.
On Oct. 26 I went ahead and wire transferred the money to the company and was told in 4-6 hours my loan would be processed and the funds would be released to my account.
It is now Oct. 31 and the money is not in my account and the company is not responding to any of my calls or emails and when I finally reached a customer service representative she placed me on hold and then hung up on me and now no one is answering my calls.
I explained to the loan company that I did not have the money to continue to give to them and I asked them if everything was going okay and to let me know if there are any problems and they assured me that I wouldn't have any more fees to pay and that everything would be fine.
