I was contacted by Lindenberg Lending and Credit stating that I was approved for a loan. I asked the gentleman, Mr. Tim Da Silva where he got my information from because I did not apply with this company, however I did apply with some others, but not this one, he replied that he received my application thru Citi, that my application was denied with Citi and they forward all of their denied customers to them.
I then received a fax from Lindenberg with the terms of the loan and request for 945.00. Before I sent them the money I contacted the "affiliates" of this company which were listed on the fax as Citibank, Citi Mortgage, Smith Barney, etc. I was told by several Customer Service Reps that this company is in no way related to them and its most likely a scam!
I was told by one Rep that Lindenberg was affiliated with Citi (must have made a serious mistake), I checked the BBB and found nothing, the yellow pages as well and again nothing, so at this point I am not at all wondering if this is a scam, I know it is!
Thankfully I did my research before I sent them the money, but I do not want this to happen to anybody else, therefore I am reporting this company to as many places as possible. So before you send anyone money, PLEASE do your research!
