There is really no need to say anything else about UDSI. This site has basically said it all.
The only thing I recommend to any one considering going through any company such as this, is go to your bank and creditors first. Ask your lending agency if they deal with any company like this before you consider paying the company to help you get out of debt and ask them why. They will tell youas follows Lending agencies have employees to help people just like us and they are very willing to do the same thing at no extra cost, since they work for the lending agency to get their money back.
I have spoken to people at one bank in particular and I managed to settle an account with them without being charged for the service. I managed to achieve on my own, what UDSI was charging me for and there was absolutely no aggrivation no stress and the people at the lending agency always phoned me back, discussed options and were generally very helpful.
Please go to the companies you owe money to and work with them directly.
Go in with a positive attitude. The company did not put you in your financial situation and the person sitting on the other side of the desk, ready to help you is also not at fault so be polite. You will walk out feeling like you threw the world off your shoulders and managed to keep what little money you put into an account, to settle with a company you actually owe your money to.
Class action anyone? It has crossed my mind. To be totally honest I don't know if I could deal with the aggrivation.
I also recommend, you buy only what you can afford to pay at that moment. If you don't have the cash, don't buy the merchandise.
