Pacific bell false claim ripoff

I got a mail from asset acceptance llc stating that i owed $2000 with pacific bell/sbc but i never had an account with either pacific bell or sbc. My cellphone was a pacific bell provider but it was under the name and account of my mother (i was too young to open an account with them). Even when pacific bell changed it's name i had never opened an account with them under my name.
