My wife and I take pride in our credit and have had 770 credit scores for some time. I received an email from our credit monitoring service in March of this year letting me know that Cavalry Portfolio had hard pulled my Experian credit report for collection purposes. Two days later I received another email but this time they pulled my Trans Union.
The next day again they pulled my Equifax. To date Cavalry Portfolio has pulled my credit "for collection purposes" 17 times. I contacted Cavalry portfolio and was told that I had a letter on its way and the inquiries were concerning a delinquent account I had with Ford Motor Credit.
After a few minutes of matching wits with the jerk on the other end of this call I decided to wait for the letter. I waited approximately two weeks but the letter never came. What did come however was a negative credit rating. They reported a $6,500 collection dated March to all three credit bureaus thus lowering my scores to the 640's.
Shortly after this Amex, Citi, Jared and Discover all lowered my credit limits because of the drastic decrease in my credit scores. I have disputed the info with the credit bureaus three consecutive months all which have been verified. I sent debt validation letters and even notified Cavalry of their violation of the FDCPA for not notifying me of this debt before reporting it to the bureaus. Even after I disputed it directly with them and told them to no notify the bureaus that I was disputing it they refused.
I recently sent Calvary Portfolios owner Andrew Zaro a certified letter demanding they fix this error. He and his company refused to sign for the letter so it was returned two weeks later.
I now am forced to file a civil lawsuit against this fraudulent owner and his ridiculous company.
What a waste of time!
