Cavalry has repeatedly ignored my contention that a debt from Cingular Wireless is clealy disputed. Cavalry has phoned me multiple times over the past months and every time I have said that the debt is disputed and they submitted the information to credit reporting agencies regardless.
My dispute CLEARLY does not fall into the category of "frivolous" as defined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
I have informed Credit Reporting agencies as well that this is a disputed debt and challenged the listing and Cavalry continues to validate the account.
These collection agencies have far too much freedom to hold a consumer hostage in a disputed debt situation such as this - laws need to change.
