I applied for a loan from another company (I believe payday loans) and this company called. The woman told me that they represented the company that I applied for the loan from on the web. I was then asked to verify personal information on a three way call with my bank in order for the loan to go through. At the time I was already skeptical. I went ahead and did the three way call. They then called me back and had me do a three way call with my employer, again giving personal information. The deposit was made (three days later than the original date given). On the 30th of May they were suppose to deduct a certain amount from my account.instead two days later I get a call on my cell phone from a woman claiming to be with this AIP company and wanting me to do another three way call to my bank to verify the personal information again. I explained to her that she needed to check the routing and account number.
If they were able to deposit this money in the account and the account is still open then they should have been able to get their payment. She insisted that this did not work and that I would need to get on the phone three way with her and my bank to get more information. I then suggested that she give me the physical mailing address and I would make the payment in full that very day. She told me that I could not do this. What? Can't mail the payment? Immediately I felt as though it was some type of scam. Not really sure though. When I tried to call the number back, the message is that the number cannot be reached. I next received 6 phone calls on my cell phone. I kept telling the woman that it was a cell phone, not a business phone and to stop calling it and call my office phone.
After hanging up six different times she then called my work phone with basically a threat telling me if I did not get on the phone with her and my bank then they would proceed with action against me. Not good. I have called her company from the number she gave (1-800-274-4159 ext 122) and left messages for her to call me. She won't answer or call. When I call the number she called me from on my phone the message states that the number is 302-793-2120 is not in service. I swear, how can the number be disconnected in a matter of minutes. She also states that they are going to close my savings account to receive their payment. When I asked her if she represented payday loans she hung up. What is really going on? Now this woman Trish is calling my employer everyday.
