I contacted JSA to collect a debt that was a court judgement. They were successful in getting 'most' of the money owed, and when the client stopped paying, with their approval, I filed in court again for non payment, which is pending.
On dozens of occasions I contacted JSA for collection updates. On several occasions I was told the reps were "busy", not in the office, or would return my call, which they did not.
I requested payment information for use as evidence in court, and was promised it, to prove that payments were either not received or proof that the payments bounced, WELL in advance of the court date. I was to receive a fax from "Stephanie" who has still not faxed the information. When I called again, a man came on the phone, used foul language, told me NOT to call the office again and that he would invoice me for " closing costs ". I DID call back, left word that I was not a happy client and only then was I told that the request for the information must be in writing. That was at approximately noon, their time. I did fax a written request, and as expected, was not received.
I was PAYING these people to collect a debt FOR me. They have been paid their 33% commission, have quit on collection efforts, verbally abused me, failed to make records available for my use, regularly do not return inquiry phone calls, and have exhibited very poor consumer relations.
Do not use this company. I was promised a 25% "special" rate and never received it. I was promised this would be corrected and it never was.
I WILL post updates to usacomplaints.com when I am thru with this mess, to disclose the outcome. The debtor claims the payments were made in full.
