Lewis, 40, of 2 Lakeridge Drive, Orchard Park, NY 14127 have been sued more than thirty times for making telephone threats against consumers. They have paid out tens of thousands of dollars to attorneys and consumers for violating federal laws and lose almost every lawsuit where an attorney shows up to defend the case. The pleadings they use in court cases are filled with lies and hearsay statements that will never hold up when challenged.
They re-age debts, meaning they change the dates of last activity to give them artificial life when they are old and out of statutes, then place them on credit reports as if they are legitimate. They tell consumers these accounts cannot be removed when they can, all of their collectors are taught to lie and mislead consumers about debt. Lies, threats and B.S. Are common business practices at LHR, the owners are having more difficulty buying paper because of their sordid reputation so they rework the old, useless accounts over and over.
Anyone who is contacted by LHR should send a dispute validation notice; dispute anything they place on their credit files as 'Time Barred by Statue' then hire a good consumer attorney to go after them. Lewis and Hastie are the stereo-typical slimy debt collectors who lie, cheat and totally misrepresent themselves. Anyone being contacted by them should fight back, they will run away like the cockroaches they are. I hate what they do to debtors because most of it is based on lies and false statements. They should all be stopped.
