I received an offer from Embrace Visa to transfer my credit card debt to them in return for a reduced settlement. After paying a certain amount, I was receive a credit card to rebuild my credit and my account would be viewed as paid in full. After a few months, I stopped receiving statements. Finally, I received a letter stating that I was past due and would be terminated if I didn't pay $200 immediately. I tried to call their "24 hour automated payment service" and received no answer. These people have taken advantage of people who are trying to rebuild credit and pay off debts in good faith!
