I have two hits on an Equifax report from PALISADES that are supposedly ATT Wireless bills. This is a fraudulent bill. At the time of the supposed "last activity" on these accounts (2003 - FOUR YEARS AGO) I had a company cell phone and it was not with ATT. Also, the account number for both of these are for area codes where I have never lived (Oakland, CA - 510 & Boston, MA - 508). I have lived in Pennsylvania for over 20 years. The total of these two bills is about $600.
There are many reports on this site about Palisades. I don't know whether this scam originated with some individual, or if Palisades purchased a bunch of bogus accounts (and was ripped off themselves), or if Palisades is directly responsible. I do know one thing. Many of these fraudulent accounts posted here (including mine) are supposedly ATT Wireless. Hello, ATT! Do you realize that it is in your best interest to help consumers put a STOP to this? This is really bad PR for ATT. If ATT stepped in to help it would be excellent PR for them. So DO something!
