I opeen an account with Capitol One in October. I payed all the bills on time, i was never late. After 6 months of paying the increase my limit from 3000 to 3500. About 2 weeks after the increase they sent me a letter stating "Due to a system error you were issued a credit limit that was to high". They went on to say that the limit will be decresed to 2250.00 imediatly. While in the mean time i had charged 3200.00 on the card, because the limit was at 3500.00.
When they decreased the limit due to a system error this put me over the limit on my card by 1009.48. They say that I have 3 month to pay this back without any over limit fees. This is an outrage. How can this be legal. Not to mention what is this going to do to my credit.
