I was a costumer with cingular wireless. Me and my husband had plans to use the phones just for emergency purposes well that never works out the way you plan it. The phones were getting a little expensive and he got a phone through his work. I was having a baby in December so i shut them off since i wouldn't be out of the house that often, to disconnect each phone is a 150.00 charge per line.
Well are bill was now up to 600. We sent them out check in febuary for 400 that day they sent us to a so called collection agency Allied interstate. I got a phone call from some lady stating "she was calling in reguards to my cingular account" i said my husband sent them a payment she then got a snippy attitude asking 20 questions when why where. She prpoceeds to tell me that there is a 18% fee on the amount sent to them Thats crap i have been sent to collections before and never been charged a fee. Then she says that need to make payment arrangements not excepting no less then 150 a month. She says that she has to secure it with a bank account number or a credit card number.
I DON'T THINK SO. Now i get repeating phone calls 5 to six times in a row from 8:30-9:00 at night I did call Cingular cutomer service a few times one person saying don't deal with them another saying it is out of there hands. So 3 months later willing to pay what i owe cingular allied interstated refuses to give me an address to send them money. And demanding a credit card # and bank account # over the phone. Please be aware of what you give to someone over the phone.
