After the first of the year I was contacted by 21st mortgage that my insurance was about to expire and that I would have to purchase a new policy. 21st mortgage set up my new policy for me and informed me that the mortgage and insurance payment would continue to be together in one bill.
I inquired about the new payment amount and was told I would be sent a new payment book and an insurance policy that explained my new policy. Both items were received shortly after.
After looking at the new payment booklet, Jan, Feb, Mar payments were about $20.00 less than I was paying previously. There was an increase starting with April's payment. I set my budget accordingly.
Jan. And Feb. Payments went out for the amounts that were in my NEW payment booklet and were accepted by 21st Mortgage. March's payment went out and I got a call from 21st mortgage (Jason) stating that my payment was short and was told it should be $415.57, not $367.77 (the amount in the payment book) THEN, about 4 hours later I get an emailing stating that it should be $401.58! My March payment will not post until they get what they think is a full payment, yet they can't agree what that amount is.
Late last year 21st mortgage sent me a notice telling me that I was in danger of a foreclosure because of late payments. I've been trying to pay in a more timely manner, but they make it impossible if I don't even know how much to pay! They won't admit they made a mistake with the payment book. Every day I'm late, my interest is compounding.
