We went through everything all of these people have gone through. To win your case against Ocwen you should know how to be prepared. Some helpful hints to cut time and money with a lawyer
1. An econamist report (high priced cpa)
2. A history from the bank Ocwen receives your payments from.
3. Keep any and all correspondence from Ocwen envelopes to prove dates etc. Even the I enclose letters that come with correspondence You will be amazed how handy those things will come in if you should sue.
4. Go to another lender explain your story of Ocwen practices THEY All know what you are dealing with, and believe it or not there are much better banks out there and lenders who are willing to give you a second chance.
What happened to all of you happened to us after my husband was rearended by an 18 wheeler 6 yrs ago and can no longer work.
We got a lawyer who filed suit against Ocwen it stopped the sale of my home because once you file suit against them they cannot touch your home till its decided in court. Ocwen gave us no more grief after that suit was filed and even retuned most of the 5,700.00 they demanded we pay to stop the sale why give us back money they claimed we owed... Hmmm!
March Ocwen has now decided they want to refi us cause we are valued customers and they knew we were in the midst of a refi with another company. Sad to say we chose to get the heck out of Ocwen with a higher interest payment. 2 yrs into the loan we are seeing almost 500 a month coming off the balance as opposed to 14 after 15 yrs of a mortgage. We are closing on our second refi in a few days.
Suddenly Ocwen is back in our lives again. We were informed last night that Ocwen has reported to credit bureaus that they reposessed and sold our home to pay our alleged foreclosure. Did they really think they could damage us again? After all they did to us it has not ruined us we have a decent enough credit rating and now we are going to sue the everloving crud out of this bank again. False reporting to a credit bureau is financial slander and also puts you into the risky loan categoy which means % rates are higher now Im not a lawyer or anything but I believe that constitutes financial damages.
With the new finance compay on conference call Ocwen still wanted to go with the our home was sold at auction thing. The new bank knows we still own it they sent someone 2 wks ago to determine appraisal of the home. So we leave Ocwen with the responsibility to fix the credit report or we can go back to court and a judge can decide. I have no time to waist on Ocwen.
Call the bbb in all of your own states to report them but also be sure to file reports in Ocwens states. Oh and Ocwen if you are reading this site catch my name and when I call next week put a person on who can speak the language. We are in the U.S.A. How are your customers supposed to know whats up with their loans when all you seem to have employed there are foreigners, or, is that done for a reason???
