I posted a rip off report on 3/15/07. After looking through other reports I realized I hadn't mentioned that I have had to deal with several employees in more than one city. After reading other rip off reports and seeing how they had been blasted by replies from HomeQ employees, I wondered why I wasn't blasted.
That was pretty easy to figure out. It is because I am in the right. As far as late payments (I am speaking of payment made during the grace period) are concerned, yes HomeQ has the right to call the consumer unless the consumer has requested they not call. Just because they can, doesn't mean they should. This is not a good customer service practise. Of course HomeQ has no idea what customer service is.

Of all the employees (and trust me there are too many to name) I have dealt with there I have only had 2 or 3 that made any effort to truly assist me.

When I first set up my loan, I had a due date of the 10th because of the date I get paid. After they screwed up my account it went back to the first. I have tried to get this changed and no one seems to know how to do this.

I have also discovered that supervisors with this company don't have phones! Imagine that! You can never get to anyone that has any knowledge or status within the company.

I am a senior manager for a very large international company. I speak with clients quite often. I am so blessed that the company allows me a phone.

One more comment about the daily phone calls. Since I can't get them to change the due date, I look forward to the calls. It gives me an opportunity to mess with the collector (which is a different person everytime). I tell them all about my ordeal with the wonderful company they work for. They always apoligise for all the misunderstandings and offer me a number to call. So then I tell them I have called all the numbers and mailed all the proof to all the departments and still no one will fix anything. Then I tell them (if they were polite) that when I sue and own the company, I will keep them on as an employee!

I also like to keep a cheery voice the entire time I speak with them. This really pisses them off. I ask them how they are doing today, how is the weather and if all is well at home.

Sometimes I call them after I have made my payment just to check in with them. I tell them I would hate to owe them money and not know about it. Hey! If you can't beat them, annoy the hell out of them!

I finally got a call back from them the other day after emailing them about how they had screwed up my credit. The employee called me a liar (I love when they do this). I was reading word for word from a letter from HomeQ about my account status being current and so on. She asked me to fax her the letter. I told her I had faxed the letter several times to several employees and they would never call me back afterwards. She promised to call me the next day. Guess what? She never called!

I plan to call them Monday just to check in again and see how everyone is doing and mention that this person never called me back.

To all the employees of HomeQ that post on this site: You are not learning acceptable business practises from this company. I don't know how you lay your heads down at night and sleep knowing how the company you work for does business and treats their clients. I guess it must take very SPECIAL people to work there. I couldn't do it because I don't want to ruin my karma!
