My wife, in an attempt to help rebuild our credit, ordered from this company... They promised a new card...
She purchsed merchandise, which was received.
I realized it was a "front" - not a merchandiser, but a credit card company. I called them and offered to pay the balanlce in full. They only accept 'their" credit cards, and refused my payment.
I made a payment by check, and closed the account. I again attempted to pay the rest of the balance, with my credit card, and they refused to accept it, claiming that they could only accept payment by access to my bank account via routing number, etc.
I believe this is an unfair business practice - designed to entrap and decieve "customers". They are now attempting to assess me a "late fee" of $25 on a balance of $61, which they refused to accept via my credit card.
They claim that they will will report my "non-payment" to credit reporting agencies.
