While NSA posts on correspondence "Parents may not have any legal obligations for their children's purchases, " they evidently do not understand that it is also illegal to take minors to court for supposed debt.
However, this is only one of the issues that I am complaining about. They also make it virtually impossible to contact them other than by mail, and at that they don't even acknowledge written correspondence. Their phone hours are 9:00AM to 4:30PM Eastern time, but that does absolutely no good for people whose contractual work hours are 7:00AM to 3:15PM Mountain time. They have ignored letters that I have sent specifically referencing my daughter's "account."
They demand payment and claim to be "very good at it." Well I demand acknowledgement and am even better at it. Thus I am taking the following steps:
1) a submission through their website posing as someone looking for help collect debt owed to me.
2) duplicate faxes to two of their known fax numbers (516-370-6520 and 516-370-6510).
3) another letter through the US mail.
4) making this complaint.
5) making a complaint through the Better Business Bureau in NY.
I can be just as annoying to them as they are to me, if not more so!
