I was curious about my credit report, I hadn't looked at it ever and thought I should make sure that it's alright.
Unfortunately I have over 15 fraudulent transactions on my report.
I have never taken out a loan of any kind, nor do I own a home.
I had atleast 5 credit cards that I had never signed up for with outstanding balances and past due balances. There were atleast 5 loans, two being a mortgage, the other for cars - when I have always bought old, cheap cars outright with no need for a loan or payment installments. I am 28 years old, these date back to times when I was still a teenager! I know some privileged families have children that purchase homes and cars, however that is not my status and I find it appalling that it would have been able to be filed under my information.
Midland credit popped up on my report when I had NO prior notification of an outstanding balance or a collections issue. It just simply was included on my report for $691.00 and no details of the transaction or its details.
Upon contacting the company, they could not find an account under my SS#. I have contacted the FTC, the credit bureaus and filed a police report, and am currently writing letters of notification to all of the companies involved - sending them return-receipt and certified. This has gone on for too long and I want to get my name out of the MUD!
