I was contacted by a Jonathan Morgan on 12/20/06 after submittine some online applications looking for a personal loan. He told me that he was able to find a lender but that because of my credit history I would need to secure the loan by sending in 6 months of payments first. I was a little leary so I asked him how this all worked and he stated that the company would only give me money if I sent them the first 6 payments to show my intent. Stupid me I fell for it! It took me almost two days to come up with the extra money (three days before christmas I might add!) but finally was able to put it together so I could send it out on Friday 12/22/06. I called him back and got all the info for sending a money gram and then called him again with the ref #. He told me that the money would be wired into my account at midnight that night. I even stated to him that I was very nervous about all that money being sent and that if the money wasn't there I would probably be calling him the next day in tears because I had approx $11 to my name for two weeks, including christmas weekend! He assured me that it was all legal and that I should feel comfortable because I had the paperwork to proove the loan... STUPID ME! Needless to say the money wasn't there. I called first thing the next morning and he told me that there was a delay with the processing and that it would definitely be there by 3 pm. Again, no money! I called at 4 pm and got a Brendan Foster who stated he was the supervisor of customer service, he explained to me that there was a descripency with my information and now the lender wanted more money! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!?? I said, then i demanded that I get the money I wired to them the day before sent back to me immediately. He stated that he could only put in for a refund and that it wouldn't be processed for payment back to me until the 30th! I demanded to sepak to a mangaer or something and he said he was the highest up I could get. I went into a complete hysterical meltdown! I tried calling again a little later to talk to jonathan to see if maybe this branden was just an idiot, he stated that he was unaware of there being any problem and that he was going to look into it. He told me to call back in twenty minutes. WELLLL, it's not been almost a week and I have never heard back. I have since found this website and a few others and have filed a complaint with my local attorney general, the federal trade commission and the better business bureau. I really hope these people get caught and rot in jail! If this has happened to you PLEASE file complaints against them. I really can't believe that I was this gullible, but that's what they do... Prey on people who are desperate. I've definitely learned my lesson the hard way.
