Ms Payton has called twice in the last couple months. She claimed we owe Sears $385 and only made a $30 payment in 2001.
I have asked why Sears didn't contact us in the five years since. She didn't know. She wanted to know if we had proof we paid it. She didn't send us proof we owe it!
Of course, when returning her call, the man answering the phone didn't know who she was but had her call us back. We told her to send it in writing (not received yet) and we will not discuss it further over the phone. We will need the proof so we can contact an attorney.
I am prepared to file with the FTC if neccessary.
I am on disability and have many serious health problems and I don't need the BS. What else can I do?
