I really hate going this route, but there is only one fo me to go around these days. Being disabled and working, means less time to fight for things that I shouldn't have lost in the first place due to deceptive corporations and their practices.
If these companies keep it up, us wage-earners will eventually stop using their services. Personally, I'm getting to be nickeled and dimed to poverty because our banking system is too expenive to use.
Complaint Description: (as posted with the BBB, and the OCC) Perhaps maximum exposure will provide 1% results.
I am growing dissatisfied with Harris's practices, customer service, and service escalation policies. I have spoken with a few representatives over the last few months trying to resolve my issues with them, and feel that I am no longer willing to accept their snooty behavior.
They wont even look me in the eye when they say there is nothing they can do.
I strongly feel that their batch-debit processing of transactions are not adhereing
uniformly to the OTC "Best Practises" Guidelines.
Being a disabled worker, money is very tight, and inconsistant overdraft fees taken out for what seems to be random at times causes an unjust financial hardship upon me.
In the past I applied for overdraft protection since the end of the month seems to cause havoc once in a while, I was denied by harris, even though I own my own place and get paid regularly.
Instead of allowing me even $250 a month in OD protection, they are taking at least $100 away from my living expenses, this in turn makes the upcomming months harder and harder. I often find myself skipping meals to make up for it.
Your Desired Resolution:
At this time, I would like to request both a refund in eronous overdraft fees, in addition to a $250 OD protection.
I chose Harris because of their perceived commitment to the disabled community and home ownership charties, but it seems they only do these deeds to "Look Good" in the public eye.
I'm open to anyone's further direction on this case. Seeking a lawyer always seems out of reach because of lack of funds & Time. I had to take today and possibly tomorrw off of work because I can't afford to get there with a negative balance in my account.
As the banks keep robbing us, we will in turn have less and less which may lead to unemployment because now we can't even afford to transport ourselves to work because of their short-sightedness.
I know its hard for low income earners, but imagine how us disabled get by? In the end, I have been putting off doctor visits, medicine, and xrays because I can't even afford the co-pays on my already tight budget that the banks think they can continually snipe out of our hands.
If this crap doesn't get resolved soon, I may resort to buying a safe, and storing cash in the house rather than dealing with the Corrupt Banking Systems in this country.
