I could not repay my loan via bank ACH since I had had to close the account due to identity theft. I tried unsuccessfully to get a name and phone number of someone at Sonic to find out where to send a check or money order in order to pay off the loan. I got the run around and no address. Then they threatened via email to contact my employer and garnish wages, etc.
I contacted the Nevada Department of Financial Institutions for their help in making arraangements with Sonic to repay the loan. That institution informed me that Sonicpayday.com is not licensed to operate in Nevada and that thus my loan is null and void and does not have to be repaid, since Sonic operates illegally in NV.
Check with your state Department of Financial Institutions. Even if Sonic is licensed to operate in your state, the DFI can help you with your complaints against Sonic.
