We were charged nsf and overdraft charge fees from wachovia bank when there was money in the account to cover the purchases out. The total amount in nsf fees was $490 they have credited $210 of this back as a courtousy to us? I think not seeing as how it was our money to begin with.
They are stating that we over drew the account. We did after they to $175 of nsf fees for nothing. Then additional $90 then when we made a counter withdrawl no one even mentioned the account was not able to cover the withdrawl - they did it anyways resulting in more nsf charges.
You can't get it ahead when they are taking it. If the nsf was our fault i would have never said anything. Yes i have accidentlly overdrawn the account in the past but this was not our fault. The balance was well over $400 when they started to take the money out.
Now the account is not being used we were in the process of changing banks when this happened. We have had them do this numerous times to us and it is like pulling teeth to get any amount credited back - most of the time it isn't the amount that was taken and we can never get the balance back to normal.
The account has a negative balance of $119 right now. I am not planning on taking care of this either because i have to fix several checks that people now think we wrote them bad checks. So by the time i pay the checks and the other peoples fees i'm going to be broke.
