I missed a payment, was instructed to send 2 payments which i did. One was kept the other was returned within a 30 day time period. The next month i sent both payments in one check amount. They claimed they never received it. It was never returned by mail.
I provided all my receipts still told i was behind and would go to foreclosure. They sent me statements of amounts due in an accord and statisfaction, each time i paid them the amounts they requested they were never posted to my mortgage account.
The amounts always changed from what they originally requested within one day from one notice to the next and i was sent to foreclosure. They posted the foreclosure notice in the newspaper, on my front door and on the bulletin board in the village i live in.
I was forced to hire an attorney and even with all months and months of proof the payments had been made, and never posted abn amro would not admit to any error on their part.
It cost me thousands of dollars to save my home. When i tried to refinance with another company my account record stated i had not made a payment in 11 months!!! No matter how many calls and letters abn amro never helped me once and to this day my record still shows i was 11 months without a payment.
I live in fear of this company.interestingly enough the mega million dollar resort developer "amman" is building a resort where i live at lake powell. I have received many calls from developers to buy my 23 acres of land or subdivide it, makes me wonder what this was really all about.
