A debt collector from this scheister called last night to collect a debt that does not belong to my wife. I filed bankruptcy 3 years ago with all cards in my name. My wife did not file, per my attorney, because she was only an authorized card holder. Joe Z is the 6th collection agency to contact us about this debt. Everytime we ask for validation, they stop contacting us and "surf" it to another agency. Not even Bank of America will provide this. They say they cannot locate it. They got my wife's contact information by calling her mother and asking her for it. Currently, my wife does not work (stay-at-home mom) and nothing is in her name (house, car, accounts, etc.). They said this does not matter and that she has to pay. Obviously that won't happen since she has no income and they can't take mine due to the chapter 7.
