Caller ID Says Dotcom Hotels They called me and said they received my online application for a payday loan. I of course, DID NOT apply for a loan with this company. I told them I did not apply with a company named Stellic Financial Group, but the girl who called said her name was Candace White and claimed she had a file on her desk with my name on it. I asked her to verify the information in the so-called file. Failed!
I received a phone call from Candace White representing a company called Stellic Financial Group. She said she received my file on her desk claiming I had applied for a payday loan online. She said I filed an application on September 7. I told her I did not do so, and in case I'd lost my mind I'd verify it since I keep very detailed records of everything I do online. She said for me to go ahead and check my records, and then she said I could call her back at 888-235-2822 x82 to complete the process. I asked her if I infact did an application online, did she have my employment information in front of her? She said she did but then failed to provide the info. She put me on hold twice (as if she were being coached) and then came back and asked me for the correct spelling of my last name. At that point I had wayyyyyyy to much of her con and told her so and hung up. I did a google search on the phone number and turned up other reports of fraud tracing back to this phone number. I tried the phone number and got a fax line as well. I hope they find these scavengers and lock 'em up!
