We were having a home built by Richmond American Homes. Our house did not sell by the time the house was built so we had to start all over with another house. The original house that we had built became a inventory home. Our house sold about 10 days later. We were still able to take the house we had built without starting over. Since it was a inventory home they give you money off. We offered 245,000 for the house. It was rejected by the sales manager. We went ahead with building the 2nd house. 2 weeks later the original house sold. Richmond American accepted 20,000 less than what we offered for the house. We were quite upset and phoned Ron Meier the sales mgr and we were told there was nothing he could or would do for us. He wouldn't even offer a reason why they took less than what we offered them. We feel that this is unfair business prctices and that there was something shady with the sale of that house. Who would take 20,000 less for a home???
