I enrolled with Consumer Credit Counseling Service in Corpus Christi, Texas, in June to help pay off my debts. My councelor at CCCS contacted all of the collection agencies, including NAFS.

NAFS should have received three payments since then, but they keep calling me at work or mailing me notices like, "Need to speak to you regarding your bounced check. Please call me ASAP!"

NAFS is not crediting the payments being mailed to them. I called my counselor today, Wednesday, Sept. 6, and she was going to call them. She said that she has mailed the payments to NAFS.

It is very annoying when the collectors call me at the office. They are very rude. Since I answer the telephone at work, I always know when it is someone from NAFS. I pretend that I am another employee at the office, and take a message.

I don't bother to return their calls anymore because of the harassments when I do talk to them. How should I handle this? If they refuse to receive my payments through CCCS, I feel the hack with them and just stop sending any payments to them.
