I had opened up an account with Navy Fed in boot camp because i needed an account for my pay to go to. Well, i am so done with them now.
About a year ago i had taken out an auto loan and set up and automatic pay withdrawl. Then i recieved a late notice. They had not taken the funds out of my account either so i wondered what was up.
They explained that there was an error in my request for automatic payment. I explained that i had done it over the phone with one of the loan officers the day it was approved. But I got no help. I gave up and made a cash payment at the bank. Then a day or two later they took out two months worth of payments. I asked them why they did that and the rep tried to explain that its just how the system works.
So finally a few months later i checked my credit report and there was the late payment. I contacted the bank to get it removed from my credit history, because it was clearly their mistake, and all they could tell me was that they couldnt help me in any way.
