First National Credit - Credit Provider
Lack of Information regarding their offer, Misleading Consumer Certificate, Offer seems too good to be true

After receiving this unbelievable offer in the mail and reading it several times. I thought about all the other credit card offers I received in the past, and how this one was nothing like it. There was no information on the terms and conditions at all anywhere in this offer. I started to get a little skeptical about this whole deal and went on-line to see if I could find this company. I found a company with the same name, but the logo was different, so I wrote to them and they referred me to this site, I found the same exact letter in your archives, I was stunned, but thankful I didn't send in the offer. This is how it reads: ""Dear (My Name), Congratulations, you are guaranteed approval for a First National Credit Gold Card with a credit line of $15,000.00. This is not a "Maybe." We have already reserved a card in your name. To receive your Gold Card please sign and mail this guaranteed acceptance certificate and include your one time only $37.00 membership fee. Once we reeive this certificate with your membership fee, your Gold card will be sent to you. Further details of your membership will be included with your Gold Card. You may use your Gold Card immediately upon receipt for all purchases from credit provider. First National Credit Provides a 30-day money back guarantee for membership fee. If you are not satisfied for whatever reason, just return the Gold Card and membership package within 30 days for a full refund of membership fee - no questions asked. Please verify that your mailing address printed on the acceptance is correct or make any necessary corrections to the right of the address. Sinceraly, Willaim Roberts""I am grateful for sites like this and I hope more people find you so they wont get scammed. Fortunately for me I am able to go on with my life without this headach, I didn't send in the certificate for two reasons... There was not enough information about the Gold Card on the offer sent to me, and I filed bankruptsy about 7 years ago and can't get a loan or Credit Card from anyone, so I thought this was a little too good to be true. Thanks for being out there and helping those who might come across this such as this. ErinGroton, Connecticut
